In 2014 I was involved in a terrible car accident in which I suffered a traumatic brain injury. It changed my life.

Fortunately, after much rehab I am able to function at a new normal. My wife and I now volunteer at Spaulding Hospital and have become very involved in the Brain Injury Association.

Many pieces of legislation and many funding issues are important for the brain-injured community and the people who serve them. One example is the re-establishment of the Brain Injury Commission in the fiscal 2019 budget. As a constituent of Will Crocker’s, I have reached out to him and asked him to support these pieces of legislation and funding. He and his office are always responsive and open to listening to my opinion on these important issues.

All I want from a state representative is someone who puts constituents first and listens and works with his or her fellow legislators regardless of party to get the job done. Will Crocker is that kind of state representative. We are well-represented in the 2nd Barnstable District. I see no reason to make a change.

I encourage others to join me in voting for Will Crocker on Nov. 6.
