Hyannis motivational speaker honored at Statehouse

 BOSTON — Jonathan Thompson, of Hyannis, a motivational speaker, event organizer and the personality behind “J.T.’s Chronicles,” a blog and social media site that delivers inspirational messages to youth on Cape Cod, was honored at the Statehouse on Monday.

Thompson was one of 44 people statewide recognized at “Black Excellence on the Hill,” a celebration of black culture, excellence and achievement in the commonwealth. The event was hosted by the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus

Thompson was nominated for the award by state Rep. William Crocker, R-Centerville.

“JT’s dedication to spreading a message of ‘one love, one family and one community’ is testament to his character and his love for his hometown and its people,” Crocker said. “JT starts every day with a positive outlook and a smile on his face, and this message has truly resonated with the community as his following has grown.”
